Lessons (to be) Learned? An Investigation of Online Learning during the COVID-19 School Closures in a Brunei Primary School

This study explores data gathered from Year 6 subject teachers and senior administrators at a public primary school in Brunei Darussalam regarding online learning teaching, the transformation challenges encountered when moving classroom education to virtual-based during COVID-19 pandemic. A mixed methods approach was used, findings revealed there both student loss gain 2020 national assessment. Unequal access technology deprived disadvantaged students while internet issues showed that experienced slow connections inadequate quotas for learning. The most significant were collegial support collaboration helped reduce teachers’ anxiety levels, having digital competence advantageous successfully implementing technological teaching advance education. Parental involvement their children’s home equally important as regular schooling. limitations of this opinions based on self-reflection evaluation, analysis action plan; furthermore, reduces direct comparison with other schools. Such educational facing may lead better understanding future research developments improving systems.
